Welcome to the series of KOMPAS-3D lessons for beginners. This course is the first one, and here you’ll get familiar with the KOMPAS-3D interface and most frequently used functionality.

In this course, you will learn how to create a branch pipe in KOMPAS-3D CAD software.

In this course, you’ll create the regulator handle model from scratch using the “Revolution Element” and the “Revolution Surface” commands. You’ll restrict extrusion with a surface, try to use chamfers and fillets with different settings, know how to deal with constraints, add annotations to the 3D model, and generate the handle drawing.

In this course, the fourth in the “Quick Start” series, You'll know how to create a simple assembly consisting of three components. You’ll also add balloons to the assembly and design a bill of materials based on a custom report style.

This course covers sheet metal part modeling in KOMPAS-3D. We'll learn fundamental sheet modeling principles by creating a box model using the "Bend" functionality, adding cuts and holes, and generating a drawing with a flat pattern view.

This course contains basic information about purpose, installation and configuration the Pilot components. We keep working on the course and will be adding new lessons.

In this course, you’ll become familiar with the Kompas-3D interface settings and learn how to customise them to suit your preferences.

Welcome to the series of Renga lessons for beginners. The Quick start course is the first one.
Here you’ll get familiar with the Renga interface and most frequently used functionality.

In this course, we’ll create an assembly – the self-centering vice. It will consist of more than sixty components, including two subassemblies. We’ll define component positions using different matings. Also, we’ll add a mechanical mating that will allow us to simulate the vice’s operation.Then, we’ll create an exploded view and learn how to edit it. We’ll generate a drawing, add a bill of materials, and create balloons.

In this course, you’ll get acquainted with an approach to reverse engineering using KOMPAS-3D. You’ll learn which tools KOMPAS-3D provides for restoring a precise model based on a scanned model. To do this, we’ll open the scanned impeller model in KOMPAS and approximate its elements, allowing us to snap to them and create elements of the precise impeller model. We’ll control the approximation using the analysis tool. Finally, we’ll refine the model by adding standard elements such as chamfers and fillets.

In this course, we will learn basic functionality designed for surface modeling. We will create layout geometry for a computer mouse and use commands such as “surface by grid of curves”, “extrusion surface”, “patch”, and others to form a complex surface.

In the course, we’ll create the reducer from scratch. We’ll start with the layout geometry and then gradually create and add all the necessary components. Some components are ready-made. We’ll import some of the other components and use direct editing tools to modify them. The remaining reducer components will be created from scratch.

We’ll learn new functionality and also use standard Kompas features. We’ll explore layers in both part and assembly documents.Then, we’ll add standard parts using an application on the POLYNOM:MDM platform.

Finally, we’ll create the reducer drawing and the Bill of materials.
